Orcutt fitness expert releases exercise video

Gina Martinez, founder of Orcutt Summer Boot Camp is bringing her workouts from the outdoors to your living room. Martinez just released her boot camp workout video available now on ExerciseTV and on any cable network with Video On Demand in the Make Me Over folder.

The workout was developed to be challenging, yet still meet the needs of all fitness levels. The video comes on the heels of her win of the Make Me Over program held by ExerciseTV in conjunction with eDiets. Through her participation in Make Me Over Martinez, who has been in the fitness industry for 6 years, lost 35 pounds and was inspired to start Orcutt Summer Boot Camp. “My thought was I was able to get fit again through exercise and the food provided to me in the program, that why not give it back?” Martinez said.

In addition to her workout video Martinez was recently one of only six women chosen as finalists to star in a nationwide commercial for eDiets.com. Martinez was flown to Arkansas last week for taping. The commercial will premiere on television nationally mid September on stations like Lifetime, Biography, and Soapnet. Though she won’t know whether her commercial will be the one aired until just prior to the premiere of the commercial, Martinez said it was exciting to be chosen to participate.

She harnessed that excitement the day of the commercial shoot and lead the group in a 6 a.m. high-energy boot camp workout.
“Gina was amazing to work with and I have never had a better workout than the one she led the day of the commercial shoot,” said Kim Evenson SVP Marketing, eDiets.com. “Her dedication and energy was evident in my sore, but stronger muscles long after the shoot was over!”

And Cathy Cox Testimonial Manager for eDiets.com called Martinez a natural leader, calling her workouts a combination of challenge and fun.
“Her positive and bright smile help keep you up and help pull you along through her workouts, but she’s no push over. If she thinks you can do more, you’re doing more.”

Martinez hosts her Orcutt Summer Boot Camp Mondays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. and what she once thought would be a small way to give back and help make others feel good about themselves has quickly grown. Martinez limits enrollment to keep classes intimate enough that each participant gets some one on one time, but large enough to help others be inspired. A variety of workout regimes keeps participants working hard and seeing results.

“It’s a way to get cardio and strength training all in one session and be outside versus in a gym. And even though everyone does not know each other, there’s always smiles and encouragements as well as joking and laughter over the crazy exercises,” said boot camp participant Wendy Foxen.

Gene Perez said Orcutt Summer Boot Camp carries a big enough challenge for advanced fitness levels while still comfortable for the beginner. “She lets you exercise at your level making a comfortable environment for all fitness levels at the same time providing the needed encouragement to go a little farther.”

Unlike many boot camps, Orcutt Summer Boot Camp consists of all fitness levels and all ages. An Orcutt Winter Boot Camp will start soon. For more information, contact Gina Martinez at xxx-xxxx or visit her on Facebook.
